713 Music Hall

713 Music Hall Houston

713 Music Hall is a large concert venue located at 401 Franklin Street, inside the POST Houston building, a redeveloped former post office just north of downtown. The venue opened in late 2021 and quickly became one of the top places in Houston to see national touring acts, drawing crowds with its modern setup and prime location.

The space holds about 5,000 people, making it one of the larger indoor music venues in the city. It primarily hosts artists from genres like pop, hip-hop, rock, country, electronic, and R&B. The stage has welcomed some of the latest big-name performers, including artists like Jack Harlow, Oliver Tree, and Carly Rae Jepsen. Rock bands like Greta Van Fleet and Paramore have also played here, along with Latin artists such as Kali Uchis and Grupo Firme.

One of the standout features is the venue’s design. The main floor is general admission standing room, giving fans the chance to get close to the stage. There’s also a tiered balcony with seating, offering clear views of the performers from all angles. The high ceilings and modern sound system work together to deliver strong acoustics, while the lighting system adds to the production quality without feeling overdone.

Bars are located throughout the venue, serving beer, cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks. Prices are typical for a concert setting, and the staff is generally quick to serve, even during packed shows. The venue doesn’t offer full meals, but food vendors in POST Houston’s food hall, called POST Market, serve everything from tacos to burgers, making it easy to grab dinner before a show.

Parking is available on-site in the attached garage, though it can fill up fast on busy nights. There are other parking lots and street spots nearby, but rideshare services are often the easiest choice, with a designated drop-off area to keep traffic moving. Public transportation is limited, but it’s a short drive from most areas around downtown.

Tickets depend on the artist and event, with general admission being the standard for floor access. Balcony seats and VIP packages are available for those looking for a more relaxed view or premium service. High-demand shows can sell out quickly, so buying tickets early is often the best bet.

713 Music Hall has quickly made a name for itself as a top destination for large-scale concerts in Houston. Its combination of modern design, strong sound quality, and prime location in the POST Houston development has made it a favorite among music fans looking to catch well-known artists in a spacious but well-organized setting.
